Jingle Bells Free mp3 Download! It's
time for Christmas again. As a present to you and your students, I
have arranged one of the most popular Christmas songs, Jingle Bells,
and made it available as a Free Download! This song was very popular
last year, and below you can see a video of it being performed by
students in Thailand. I used the vocabulary from the MES English free Christmas Flashcards(pictured here), and changed some lyrics to make the song more ESL/EFL friendly. See below for a downloadeble pdf of the lyrics and how to teach this song. (arrangement

Writing
Practice Worksheets: With
elementary age kids I have been singing Jingle Bells, and then doing
writing practice with the action words from the song, "I can
jump"etc. It makes a nice lesson. To view the worksheet and
to print, click on the title below:
Do you like this song, but want it without the web add? It is available on Dream English Kids Songs 2 click on the banner below for more info! This is a wonderful video sent in by Shari of her Kindergarten students in Thailand performing Dream English Jingle Bells. Great work Shari, Thank You! How
to teach: Using the flashcards from MES English, show the
card for the vocabulary, and have your students repeat after me.
As the teacher, you can say the word as I say it. I put a little
joke in the song, as you are showing the presents card, say, " an
airplane", kids love this kind of thing.
Teach the the lyrics, and make up a little dance during the Jingle Bells part. Then, during the "I can jump" part, have the kids do the actions. This way, if the students have trouble singing the Jingle Bells part, at least they can participate in the actions! Also note that the lyrics to the second part, I can jump, etc. coordinate with another Dream English song: I Can Walk. Please click here to check out how I teach I Can Walk. This is a great idea from Chris Caldow in Germany, thanks Chris! "I handed out the vocab cards to kids who pronounced the words properly and then asked them to hold up the cards when their word was mentioned in the song. During "Jingle Bells" we walked in a circle, changing directions after "Hey". Then we all counted to 4 and did the actions as required." Have fun, and please let me know how your students like it! email me at matt(at)dreamenglish.com change (at) with an @ sign. Happy singing! Jingle
