Dream English Kids Songs 1: Numbers Song Let's Count 1 to 10!

I have been using Let's Count 1 to 10 to teach numbers in preschools and private English classes in Japan, and the kids love it! It's simple and fun. You can listen to the whole song in the player on the Free Download page, or see below to download the song. Also below are photos and a video of how I do the dance.

Numbers Flashcards

Dance


While singing, have the children clap their hands in a circular motion from left to right (1,2,3,4,5) then right to left (6,7,8,9,10). At the end when I count to 10, have the children crouch down and pretend they are making a rocket! Once you count to ten blast off!

Numbers Game

You can use the language of the song to play a fun game. in the middle of the song I sing:
1,2,3 step forward
1,2,3 step back
1,2,3 spin around

Ask the students to take turns and say how many steps forward or back, or spins they want to take. This is a fun and simple way to get them to use numbers. Also, feel free to add other actions; jumps, hops, etc.
