ABC
The ABC Song is a really important song for the classroom. You can teach the letters using the flashcards or videos, and then sing the song in the classroom. I decided to make a version of the traditional ABC song, because I think it is one of the best songs for teaching the alphabet to young learners. I use a slow L-M-N-O-P because it is a much better way for children to learn each letter. Once they have mastered this version, they can easily and clearly sing the fast L-M-N-O-P version.
There are a few ways to teach this. Either use alphabet flashcards and show them as you sing, or just sing the song! I don't know how, but kids pick this up really quickly. You can also make up a little dance to go with it. In my classes we make circles with our hands, wave our hands to the left and right, etc. while we sing.
Games: The easiest and most effective game that I use is a simple touch game. Simply put some alphabet flashcards on the floor or table, and ask the kids to touch a letter.
