I always start my classes with some kind of warm up. In my
situation, teaching English in Japan, my class might be the
first time they have encountered English all week, so I like
to ease them into the environment. I use a variety of exercises
as warm ups depending on the age of the children. Any song
or chant works fine as a warm up,
but I use the following warm ups when I feel like doing something
a bit different. I think these are great for ages 2 and up.
Have fun and I hope these help you get your class off to a
great start! Click on a warm up title to be directed to the page with the
instructions and the free downloadable mp3: I Like English Warm Up!
(clap your hands, brush your teeth, etc.) For free traditional songs which are also great warm ups please
